In the first incident, 66-year-old Daulsaheb Dadasahab Mulla was killed after he was hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle while crossing the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass on Saturday morning at Bavdhan.
According to the police, Mulla met with the mishap in front of Hotel Ranwara. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
In a similar incident, an unidentified 75-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the Range Hill Road in Khadki on Saturday morning.
She was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries on Saturday night. The Khadki police are yet to confirm her identity.
