Two killed in fire at Dombivli

Two workers died and three others were seriously hurt in a major fire that broke out in Gharda Chemicals Company at Dombivli on Thursday afternoon.

The police said that fire broke out in one of the units of the company which later spread to other parts of the company.

Six fire tenders were pressed into service which managed to extinguish the fire after three hours but by then two of the workers in the plant had died and three received serious injuries.

Further investigations are on, police said.
