Three persons, including two minors, were arrested for eve-teasing and injuring a 25-year-old television reporter of a Marathi news channel.
The incident took place around 8.30am on Sunday near Citi Mall on Link Road, Andheri (West).
The Amboli police said the woman, Tejal Gavde, an employee of a Marathi news channel, was on her way to work when three people Kishore Das (23) and two minors started passing lewd comments at her.
The three were riding separate horses. “The three were on horses. Seeing Gavde walk by, they started passing lewd comments. She got angry and yelled back at them. The men then threw horseshoes at her,” said a police officer.
She suffered minor bruises on her forehead and was admitted to a hospital. After she was discharged from hospital, she filed a complaint against the three.
All three were arrested on Monday under sections 509 (word, gesture, act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 324 (causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code and sent to judicial custody.
