When Sai Siddhi Society collapsed in front of RR Tripathi's eyes on Tuesday morning, the 64-year-old's heart skipped a beat. The father of three had brought a flat in the building for one of his sons who is all set to get married. His family was to get possession next week. His wife Madhuri said, "It is all a matter of fate. The Ajmera family living there was to move out this week but lost two members of their family in the collapse. No one saw this coming. It could have been us too."

Geeta Shah, the estate agent who brokered the deal, said, "I had helped the Ajmera family find buyers. I had even gotten prospective buyers for Rajesh Doshi, who was looking to sell his flat," Shah said. According to Shah, the Tripathi family had paid close to Rs 70 lakh for the new flat.
