Students of Mount Litera School International (MLSI), Bandra Kurla Complex celebrated Valentine's Day by spreading love in the community. Students studying between VI and IX grade visited various NGOs to spend time with the underprivileged and specially-abled kids.
The students visited Angel Xpress Foundation (Santacruz), Spark A Change foundation (Juhu), Society for the Education of the challenged - SEC (Santacruz) and Father Agnels Ashram for Boys (Bandra Bandstand) where they spent quality time teaching them the basics of using Microsoft PowerPoint. A few students also read out interesting stories while a few others helped them make handcrafts.
Speaking about the initiative, Vishnu Sharma, head of secondary – Mount Litera School International said, "Valentine's Day is celebrated globally as a day of love and we wanted our students to spread the same among the community. We wanted them to experience the love of giving and sharing and break the stereotype that Valentine's Day could only be celebrated between two partners. The students have come back happy from their visit and have promised to keep visiting their new friends!"
One of the leading international schools in the city, MLSI's mission is to ensure that all students achieve the highest academic standards and grow up as responsible citizens.
