Theatre actor Udayraj Godbole passes away

Noted singer and stage-actor Udayraj Godbole died of old age at his residence, family sources said today. The end came last night. He was 85. Acclaimed for his performances in many musical plays, Godbole left a mark on the Marathi theatre with his renderings of 'Natyapadas'. Among the popular plays in which he acted were: 'Sangeet Soubhadra', 'Bhavbandhan', 'Saunshay Kallol', 'Ekach Pyala' and 'Bramhchari'. Godbole is survied by a son and a daughter.
