In Thane district of Maharashtra, a low-intensity explosion occurred after an unidentified person allegedly threw a plastic ball filled with explosives on the road on Wednesday.

At 10 am today, a man threw an explosive ball on Kashimira road area in Thane. 

Police found traces of plastic bottle, metal balls, and locally made jute fuse. 

Superintendent of Police, Thane (rural), as quoted by ANI said, "Our Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad is present on the spot. Anti-Terror Squad is also there. Samples will be sent to the forensic department."

"We have registered the offense. As per preliminary investigation, it was a very small device incapable to injure anyone. Meanwhile, an investigation is going on," he added.
