Thane girl comes third in all-India CA exam
The Chartered Accountants Intermediate Integrated Professional Competence (IPC) examination result was declared recently. The group I pass percentage is 9.18% and group II is 7.06%, while that of those appearing for both is 4.78%. The first rank has been secured by a Pune boy, whereas second and third rankers are two girls from Indore and Thane, respectively.
Tanishq Shrikant Kale from Pune scored 76.14%, while Indore's Saloni Jindal stood second with 75.43% and Sree Bhavishya Amisagadda from Thane came third with 74.86%.
The exam was conducted in May. The total number of candidates who took only group I was 65,672; the number of those who appeared for group II only was 56,742. In group I, 6,028 candidates passed, while in group II, 4,004 passed.
The total number of candidates that appeared for both groups was 47,979, out of which 8,279 passed only in group I (pass percentage 17.26) and only 46 passed only in group II (pass percentage 0.10). The total number of candidates passing both groups is 2,295.
Amisagadda, while speaking to dna, said, "My parents have an engineering background and even my brother is pursuing engineering. But I wanted to become a CA. I chose it as it's a very challenging profession."
