As per IMD officials, Mumbai is still experiencing pre-monsoons showers as the southwest monsoon is likely to arrive in the next 48 to 72 hours. "Mumbai and adjoining areas will see the maximum rain between June 9 and 10 after which its intensity will decrease," said an IMD official.

He added: "On Thursday, till 2.30 pm Colaba recorded 27.6mm while Santacruz recorded 37.8mm. The maximum temperature at Santacruz was recorded as 29.2 degrees while Colaba recorded 29.5 degrees Celsius."
