The initial probe by the Pune rural police have revealed that staff of another company - the third one - was present at Sahara Aamby Valley resort when the 29-year-old executive of an MNC was alleged raped in that resort during wee hours of December 10. 

“About 15 to 20 staff of an event management company was there at the resort. That firm was hired by the MNC to organise the conference at the resort,” police sources said. According to a police the staff of the event management company is also on the police’s radar, apart from the staff of the resort and the MNC.

The rape victim, who is an executive, was part of the group comprising 270 - all staff of the MNC - that visited the resort for a conference. She was alleged raped twice and assaulted at her room on December 10. 

Later, she lodged complain at Paud police station and the police lodged an FIR against unknown persons.

The Pune rural police on Thursday sent a letter to the MNC seeking details of the staff that attended the conference. “We have sought information how many male and female members of the MNC attended the conference and where they hail,” police sources added.

The Pune rural police have sent a team to Kolhapur, Nashik and Mumbai as a part of the investigations. However, the police are tight lipped why the police team has been sent to these places.
