About 1.92 lakh students appeared for their first language paper of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board exam today from Mumbai city. Only two students were denied seats for coming late. Where some students said the exam was easy, some claimed otherwise. Prasad Kadam, a student said, "I felt the paper was not that difficult but it was quite lengthy."
Besides, there were also students who sat for exam despite ailments and health concerns. Vishal Maurya of Home of Faith English High School, Thane had to undergo surgery of his left hand due an undaignosed infection. Maurya said, "My left hand wad swollen four days back and I was in severe pain.I underwent surgery, but the infection persisted still. I was advised to rest for three days by the doctors, but I insisted on giving the exams."
Similarly Kajal Mandhare and Krutika Mehta, hearing and visually impaired students from Helen Keller Institute too appeared for board exam by taking help from their teachers. Pallavi Ranpise, special educator of institute said, "The board allowed two teachers to help the students with the tactical sign language."
