Here is some good news. The southwest (SW) monsoon is advancing and advancing strongly. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) (weather central) in Pune told DNA on Thursday that the monsoon had covered the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, parts of coastal south Karnataka and south interior Karnataka.

According to IMD director, weather forecasting, Medha Khole, there was fairly widespread rainfall and in some cases, heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. Khole said that in the next 2/3 days, the conditions were favourable for advancement of the monsoon over Goa, parts of South Konkan and south Madhya Maharashtra.
