The senior leadership of Shiv Sena may be pining it's hope on master poll strategist and JD-U Vice President Prashant Kishor to improve its Lok sabha seats tally in the state. However, there is discontent among the local Sena leaders on taking orders from Bihari leader. Despite the hidden bickering, Kishor carried out his work today and made a presentation on at least five constituencies from Western Maharashtra and Marathwada.

The rationale for anger against Kishor stems up from the fact that Shiv Sena is a hierarchical cadre-based party where the Thackerays have a final say on important party decisions. Secondly, the 40 member Kishor team appointed on every constituency is bereft of any ground-level understanding of real politics.

Party leaders close to the Sena leadership confided in DNA that before Kishor was roped in Party President Uddhav Thackeray had already done a detailed study of all the constituencies and the problems lying therewith. Accordingly, a setup of Sena workers has been activated to run the campaign on all 23 constituencies where Sena is contesting. Kishor's advice will add confusion to a well-oiled setup, opined this leader.

Sena MP said that the Lok sabha aspirants are hurt as for how a candidate from Bihar can employ his election management techniques in a regional Marathi party like the Shiv Sena. Thackeray's free hand given to Kishor could create further rifts unwanted in a competitive election like this.

Another MP said that three things can be effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to fly the Sena flag high; legacy of late Bal Thackeray, the altruistic character of the party and it's commitment to the common man's cause.
