To remind Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the promise of construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Shiv Sena had called a meeting of its state districts' presidents, ministers, MPs etc. where they decided to take at least 10,000 Shiv Sainik to Ayodhya on November 25.

Senior Sena leader who attended the meeting chaired by Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday conveyed that those who are coming to Ayodhya have to register their names earliest at Sena Bhavan. "We have also booked two special trains, one will leave from Thane while another from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal in Mumbai. Each minister, MP and MLA have to take responsibility for a certain number of people," said a Sena minister requested anonymity.

He further said that Shiv Sainik will leave on November 23 from Mumbai for Ayodhya. "We are requesting to our people to register their names early so that it will be easy to make the arrangement for them in Ayodhya. We have to book the hotels, raise the tents and prepare the food for all people who are coming from various part of the country in Ayodhya," said a Sena MLA requesting anonymity.

Shiv Sena's call for Ayodhya is significant in the backdrop of the falling popularity of the BJP-led government in the Centre and the State.

"This is nothing but the gimmick jointly played by the BJP-RSS and the Shiv Sena. The BJP as a government failed to fulfil the given promises. Besides, the economy is also faltering. Therefore, to unit the majority of people, they need some emotional issue like Ram Mandir. However, it will yield little to them," said a political observer.

He said that people are asking what these people in government were doing from last 4.5 years.
