Sena leaders said the party was in talks with R-Infra since last few years to make the 6,500 contract labourers permanent. They said the administration failed to address their demands.
The Shiv Sena-affiliated Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti activists on Wednesday disturbed the annual general meeting of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, which was attended by Anil Ambani.
Sainiks led by Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar and party secretary Anil Desai barged into Birla Auditorium.
Sena leaders said the party was in talks with R-Infra since last few years to make the 6,500 contract labourers permanent. They said the administration failed to address their demands.
“At the behest of our corporate rivals, a group of individuals attempted to create disturbance at our AGM, but their efforts were foiled,” said Ravi P Muthreja, group head, Corporate Communications, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.
