A two-day seminar for people suffering from leprosy and its stigma has been organised by Pune-based International Leprosy Union-Health Alliance (ILU-HA) and World Health Organisation (WHO) from April 19.

The plight of those affected with the disease and their rights would be discussed during the seminar. The seminar, to be held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada), will be inaugurated by former high court judge T Singerwal. Dr Mohan Gupte, director, ILU, said, “There is lot of stigma attached to this disease that needs to be addressed so that these patients get their place in society.”
