Save water this holi, says kids

A bunch of kids, some as little as four, are spreading the message of dry Holi ahead of the festival.

Manisha Ogale from Child Activity Center informs, "Though the children are still too small to fully understand the importance of the messages they're propagating, I must say they are quick to pick up what they are shown. Therefore, we use pictures to guide these children and explain them the importance of Holi with minimal water."

Karishma Rohera, in-charge, Kohinoor Blossoms, informs, " These kids know well how to convey positive message. The kids were instructed via a presentation and drawings how and why one should play dry Holi and the significance of the festival itself." She adds the kids were also taught about natural colours and the importance of using these colours.

Parents, too, are happy at the efforts of the school in sensitising their kids about the environment this early. Snigdha Jha, a parent, informs, "My 6-year-old daughter Prisha told me that she wanted the same colours she was given in school and also asked me to not waste much water."

A spokesperson from Bumble Bee informs, "While the older kids may take time to understand many things, small kids grasp everything very quickly. In fact, our kids celebrated dry holi here and we asked to have similar celebrations at home. While they were smearing color on each other, we asked them to not put those in the other person's eyes and mouth."
