During the Mumbai visit, BJP National President Amit Shah had said that the party wants alliance partner Shiv Sena in the NDA fold. However, Shiv Sena spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has rejected the offer.Speaking to media persons, Raut said that even though the BJP extends hand for a hand shake, it is now too late. It was minister for environment Ramdas Kadam who had criticized Home department in the state. He had said that there is no law and order in the state.Amit Shah who had said that Shiv Sena was still a member of NDA and was a part of Cabinets both in Maharashtra and the Union Government. Replying to a question that Shiv Sena has announced to go alone in elections ahead, Shah had said that BJP would sincerely like Sena to be a part of alliance.A BJP minister, on the condition of anonymity, said that both BJP and Sena would have to come together during 2019 assembly elections. He said that it would be a result of the pressure from party workers that both the parties would strike an alliance before the elections. When asked about criticism by Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana on a daily basis, the BJP minister said that it is the Sena mouthpiece and the writing is aimed at Shiv Sena followers.
