Salman brightens kids’ hospital stay
The ward will be inaugurated by Salim Khan on Friday, along with MP Priya Dutt and MLA Baba Siddique.
The paediatric ward of Bhaba Municipal Hospital on Hill Road in Bandra (west) has got a ma-keover, courtesy actor Sal-man Khan and Kangaroo Kids, a playschool.
“Salman Khan helped us out when we were falling short of funds. We did have political and bureaucratic hindrances. People ought to be helped rather than hindered, when they want to do something,” said Lina Ashar, founder of Kangaroo Kids.
When asked why Kangaroo Kids chose to revamp the paediatric ward of a municipal hospital, she said, “Because the paediatric ward in Bhaba was not child-friendly.”
Salman’s sister Alvira Khan said, “Salmanbhai is a part of this project and has sponsored the revamp of the paediatric ward.”
