After taking note of the manhandling that devotees at Lalbaugcha Raja were subjected to, Home Minister RR Patil has passed orders to ensure that such misbehaviour is not repeated at the mandal.
If any devotee is manhandled again, strict action will be taken against the mandal's workers and office-bearers, he said.
An investigation into previous misbehaviour will also be carried out according to Patil. If need be, a case of outraging (women's) modesty will also be lodged. Women were among those manhandled at the mandal.
