The traffic cops have taken this decision after NDA authorities had shown the Bombay high court’s (HC) decision.

Police inspector RG Galande of Kothrud traffic division told DNA, “The NDA authorities were constantly demanding a ban on roadside parking on NDA Road from Chandni chowk to Hotel Khana Pina Jina. We have gone through the HC’s decision and decided to ban vehicular parking on the roadside. However, people can park their vehicles on the hotels’ premises but not on the road. Otherwise, fine would apply against violators,’’ he said.

In the recent past, the NDA authorities had banned civilians from using NDA Road citing a security issue.

But, later the HC granted interim relief to the owners of restaurants located on the NDA Road.
