In a daylight robbery, four unidentified men allegedly attacked a 21-year-old salesman on Thursday afternoon and robbed him of cash and valuables in Andheri East. The Andheri police has registered a case of robbery. According to the police, the victim was travelling on his bike to deliver Rs50,000 cash from a client to his employer and was riding alone.

The incident happened in Satamwadi junction of Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road. When the victim, Ramesh Ahire, was near Chevrolet car showroom, a group of four men on two motorbikes blocked him. Then the four got off their bikes and forced Ahire to get down and then allegedly punched him on his stomach and started threatening him. The robbers did not use any weapons, said the police

The four snatched the cash, a phone and a wallet from Ahire and fled from the spot. "Ahire immediately registered a complaint with the Andheri police.

"We will be scanning the CCTV footage of the nearby areas to investigate further. We will also be questioning his employer and staff of the company where Ahire worked," said an officer. Ahire lives in Sakinaka.
