MUMBAI: City dwellers on Saturday got a respite from the heavy showers that continued to lash Mumbai since last evening, with transport services returning to normal.

However, mild showers continued in the city since morning but office-goers were able to reach their workplaces as the railway services resumed as per schedule on Saturday, railway police said.

Flooding of the tracks had affected railway traffic on the Central railway yesterday while the Western railway services were running behind schedule.

The police said that the traffic movement is also smooth barring certain roads which experience congestion every day.
