Family and friends today bid a tearful adieu to a 24-year-old engineering student killed in the Pune terror attack.Aditya Jaiprakash Mehta, an electronic and communications student at Pune's Bharatiya Vidyapeeth who succumbed to hisinjuries at a Pune hospital yesterday, was cremated here. The body was flown to the capital from Pune this morning. The last rites were performed at a cremation ground in Neharpur village near sector three of Rohini in the presence of family and friends. Aditya, who was to appear for his final exams in a few days, breathed his last at Jehangir Hospital in Pune at around 4am yesterday after battling for life since Saturday when he was injured in the bomb blast in German Bakery.Aditya was a resident of Rohini Sector-8 A Block where his family — parents and a sister Misha who is pursuing MBA at IP University — stays. His father JP Mehta is a businessman while mother Meera is a housewife.Neighbours and friends are still finding it hard to believe that the "very talented" Aditya has died at such a young age.One of his friends, Ashok, remembers him as a boy who was equally talented in studies as well as football. "He was verymuch interested in football," he said.
