The cafes made arrangements by installing additional computers and printers. Some owners increased the strength of their staff to assist the anxious students and parents in getting the results faster.

Rahul Shinde, a technician at a Nigdi-based cyber cafe said, “Though the mobile companies provided the facility of HSC result through cellphones, it did not make any impact on cyber cafes. There was a huge rush, like last year.”

The cafes charged Rs10 per printed marksheet, while others gave concessions to those who came in groups.

Shrikant Joshi, the father of a student studying at Modern High School said, “Though the cyber cafes were overcrowded, the staff was able to help us see the result within 10 minutes. We visited a cyber cafe to get a printed copy of the result.”
