The duo submitted their complaint to police commissioner, deputy commissioner of police (cyber crime cell) and police inspector (cyber crime cell) through lawyer SK Jain. However, the police are yet to file a case.

Jain said, “We will file a petition in court, if we don’t get a response to police complaint by Monday.”

The plaint alleged that when a mock poll demo was given by election officials at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium on February 13, all EVMs were not shown to the candidates. The duo reported that when Kumbare’s brother Shivaji voted, the indicator did not glow and when he orally complained to the booth’s election officer, the official said that the machine is in proper condition and his vote will be registered. A complaint against EVMs was made to the returning officer after the counting of votes, but those machines are yet to be tested, the duo alleged.
