Sant Tukaramnagar area, where Bhosale and Behl reside, is reeling under water shortage for four days.

The drama unfolded at the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) headquarters when Bhosale, along with some of the residents of the area, including women, went to meet the mayor.

Bhosale, who belongs to the Congress, accused Nationalist Congress Party’s Behl of engineering a water scarcity in his ward to put the former in poor light among the residents. “You have directed the water supply department officials to create water problem in my area,” Bhosale alleged.

A visibly angry mayor told the corporator to refrain from making baseless allegations. Things came to such a pass that the duo used unparliamentarily language against each other.

Behl immediately summoned the water supply department staff and directed them to ensure that the locality does not face water scarcity. He assured the residents of constructing a water tank in the area.

However, Bhosale reminded the mayor that the latter’s earlier promises are yet to be fulfilled.
