Pune lad wins international design award

Siddharth Hirwani, a former student of Loyola High School and Loyola Junior College, won this year’s Elle Décor International Design Award (EDIDA) in the student category for his
furniture design.

Elle Décor is a leading international design magazine with 25 worldwide editions and with a reach of more than two million readers across five continents. The Indian edition of the magazine has circulation of over 50,000 copies and Elle Décor India hosts two events including EDIDAs and the art and design show.
Hirwani said the award has given him confidence and has motivated him to acquire the best of skills.

He expressed gratitude towards National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, which has given him exposure to interact with real design world in addition to motivating him to excel in his
chosen field.

He is pursuing graduate course in industrial design specialising in product design at NID, Ahmedabad.
