Around 60 people gathered outside tainted Sena MP Rajan Vichare's house at Thane and broke their fast on Wednesday night, a day after news of him trying to stuff a chapati into the mouth of a Muslim IRCTC employee during Ramzan went viral. The morcha was called by a Thane national congress party member. It included not just Muslims, but also people of other religions who strongly opposed the incident. After breaking their, the group shouted a few slogans and then dispersed.A source said that IRCTC canteen manager Arshad Zuber was standing near the counter when Vichare came and picked up a chapati. He said it was not of proper quality and then tried to force it into the manager's mouth. Vichare did not stop despite Arshad's requests. The scene was recorded by a journalist present at the spot.A Shiv Sena member said, "We have not done anything like what was shown in the video. Vichare sir was just showing them the food quality. Later he picked up a chapati and showed it to the manager. Our intention was not to hurt anyone's religious sentiments, and sir was not aware he was Muslim. We respect all religions, people have equal rights."
