Police today arrested four bookies from suburban Kandivli for allegedly indulging in betting during the ODI cricket match between India and Australia.

Acting on a tip off, a flat in Prabhu Nivas building was raided and the accused identified as Paresh Bhatia, Sandeep Bhatia, Manish Shah and Ketan Shah were caught while indulging in betting, said S Jaiswal, senior inspector of Kadivli police station.

Two TV sets, 63 mobiles, three laptops, two notebooks and Rs1300 in cash were seized from the flat, he said.

The four were booked under provisions of the Prevention of Gambling Act, he said.
