Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin had asked his community to plant two lakh trees across the world during the month of Ramzan. The trees not only have to be planted but also need to be looked after by community members.

"We will be planting around 1,359 trees in our Hatemi Mohalla alone," said Abuzar Zakir, a community member who lives in Mazgaon. Zakir added, "We have already started planting trees and after the monsoon, we will also water and look after them regularly till they attain a certain height."

Shaikh Abdeali Banpurwala, a senior member of the community said, "Syedna is a true environmentalist and has always advised us to protect the environment. He has expressed his desire to plant more trees in the metropolis. It will be every individual's duty to look after the planted trees as we have allotted a number to such trees. The trees can be planted anywhere and not necessarily in the community area."
