One of the residents lodged a complaint with the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) following which K Dhawade, senior horticulturist visited the site to investigate the complaint.
The Naupada police have registered a non-cognisable complaint against four shop owners of Thane who threw away 39 plants from first-floor terrace of Gagangiri society, Pachpakhadi.
One of the residents lodged a complaint with the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) following which K Dhawade, senior horticulturist visited the site to investigate the complaint. “Our investigation has found the four shop owners responsible for harming 39 plants. Hence, the Naupada police should register an FIR against the quartet under the appropriate sections of the law,” wrote Dhawade in his letter to the Naupada police.
When contacted, the Naupada police confirmed that they have lodged a non-cognisable (NC) complaint against them.
