The police has sent Dhara's mobile phone for forensic analysis. The team has also recovered Dhara's clothes from his Vile Parle (East) residence, and has sent it to a laboratory to see if it matches with the DNA samples that were collected from the crime scene. "We are still waiting for the reports," said Mahadev Nimbalkar, Police Inspector (Crime).

"There are still a few unanswered questions. We will continue to interrogate Dhara till we join the missing pieces," said Nimbalkar.

According to sources, the police has access to CCTV footage that shows the accused peeping into other houses in and around the locality on the day of the murder. The team is scanning the footage to match the sequence of events. The police has also recorded the statements of Dhara's co-workers, employer and relatives in connection with the case. Officers have also questioned Dhara's friends with whom he spent time with in the evening of that fateful night.

The interrogating team is also trying to probe Dhara to get information about the victim's comb and the SIM card that has been missing since the day of the crime.

During interrogation, it was also revealed that Dhara knew the victim by name and would keep an eye on her movements.
