A part of the second and third floor of a building located at Warden Road in Nepean Sea Road collapsed on Monday evening. The four-storyed Haziz Habib building was immediately vacated by the Malabar Hill police and no injuries were reported.

According to the disaster management unit, the incident took place at 6.30 in the evening and the police managed to evacuate the people from the building safely.

A local investigation will be carried out to learn the reason behind the sudden collapse.

BMC spokesperson Tanaji Kamble said, "It was a MHADA building and was already vacated. At the time of the incident, it probably had some workers who were evacuated safely. There were no injuries."
