Only 21 patients remained in the 280-bed Aundh Civil Hospital as the ongoing statewide government doctors' strike entered its fourth day on Friday. For four days, patients are steadily being discharged while no new patients are being admitted, making the hospital wear a deserted look. No surgeries have been performed at the hospital in the past four days. "On an average, we get about 500 patients visiting the OPD daily. Now just 6-7 patients are coming. As word spread, patients have also trickled down. Medical services are badly crippled,'' admitted Dr Nitin Bilolikar, chief medical officer.
