The Thane crime branch recently caught one person from Bhiwandi TV godown, while the other five are still absconding. The Thane crime branch recover total 19 LCD TV and 160 mobile phones which and the combined cost was of about 3.75 lakhs.
On February 13 a case was lodge of a theft at Narpoli police station. It was on March 8 when one of the acussed Munna Chavan 19 was arrested from Gulburgh. The police got a tip off the so a team was send to nab him from his residence. The police are further questioning the culprit for further details.
Munna Chavan, 19, who hails from Shahapur district and was staying with his friends who are in their 20's. After the incident the amount was shared. After that the criminals escaped and were not much in contact with each other.
The gang had earlier broken into a medical shop and looted it. When the police came to know about one of the accused, they immediately sent a team to capture him. He was arrested in March 8 and was brought to Mumbai.
A senior official from crime branch said, "We have arrested one culprit and our investigation is on to nab the other four. The accused has confessed to the crime and he also said that he had committed the crime with the help of five other people."
