Even as the government is facing embarrassment every other day with sensational revelations about one or the other minister through the media, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has given a clean chit to each one of them, saying that prima facie there is no case (against them).

When a pen drive containing a conversation of MLA Raj Purohit rocked political circles, Fadnavis was in Pune and then went to Gadchiroli, but was not required to give a statement on it. As Purohit is an MLA, it was BJP state unit president Raosaheb Danve and Mumbai city unit resident Ashish Shelar who came forward and said that the veracity of the CD would be checked and then appropriate action would be taken.

Fanavis had to come to the rescue of minister Babanrao Lonikar, who has allegedly given contradictory information in the affidavits he submitted for two elections. Fadnavis had said "there was no case prima facie". He gave the same clean chit to Pankaja Munde on Thursday after the Congress approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau with a complaint against her department for purchases of Rs206 crore in one go.

The chief minister had also refuted the allegations against education minister Vinod Tawde over his educational qualifications.
