The Saamana editorial noted that while Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently visited Davos to woo global investors, farmers were still committing suicides in Vidarbha.

Addressing a press conference here about the party's membership drive, Sahastrabuddhe said this was not the first time the Sena, which is a partner in the government, had criticised BJP.

The party wanted to enrol eight core members by March 31, 2015 while 4.5 crore members had been enrolled so far across the country, with Uttar Pradesh topping the list at 1.25 crore members, he said.
