"It was a Rudraksha and metal chain, which was was already in the Swami's hand. There was no magic. I do not believe in miracles or magic," she clarified, adding, "The spiritual guru is highly qualified and well reputed. He does not do any magic."

She further said the media was unnecessarily creating an issue out of a non-issue. "It is not right. Now I am worried if I should attend any function henceforth," she said.

She said the function in Pune was organised by a reputed educational institution and that's why she agreed to attend it. "I was one of the guests, along with many other dignitaries. The guru was sitting near me and when I finished my speech, he called me. He is of my grandfather's age. As a mark of respect, I bowed before him, and in return he gave me the chain," said Amruta.
