School teachers who are made to do election duty in the state got a major relief with the Bombay high court directing the election commission not to employ teachers for election duty, during their working hours. Students and teachers were suffering because the latter had to do election duty. The order was passed during the hearing of a petition filed by teachers of a Kkalyan school Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Parishad. The order mentions that the non-teaching staff can be employed for election duty.
