A Bhimashankar-Pune state transport bus met with an accident on Thursday morning injuring 11 people including driver and conductor of the bus. Fortunately, none of the passengers have received life threatening injuries.The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation's (MSRTC's) ordinary bus met with an accident at around 7.30 am on Thursday. "The ordinary bus (MH 40 N 9406) was plying on Bhiwandi-Pune route and slipped from the road near Rajewadi, about 25 kms from Bhimashankar," confirmed Mukund Dhus, spokesperson of MSRTC.At the time of the incident, the bus was carrying 9 passengers, two females. Both the ladies have been hospitalized at YCM Hospital in Pimpri.Three passengers were administered first aid and discharged, whereas six others including driver and conductor are being treated at Ghodegaon Rural Hospital for minor injuries. Driver Murtuza Pathan and Conductor Laxman Gaikwad are out of danger."Our MSRTC officials are with the patients at both the hospitals to ensure to problem is faced during the course of the treatment," added Dhus. An enquiry will be conducted into the incident to ascertain the exact cause behind the mishap.
