Nidhi Gupta suicide: Sister-in-law held
The Dindoshi police have now arrested Nidhi Gupta’s sister in-law, Sunita, on charges of suicide abetment and dowry. Gupta’s father Bimal Jalan had registered a complaint against her husband Pawan and in-laws on Friday.

Gupta threw her kids from the 19th floor of her building, and then jumped herself, in Malad (East) on March 8. Gupta’s in-laws were absconding since Friday night and surprisingly, the family escaped even though there was police deployment outside Gupta’s residence.
“Several police teams had been sent to arrest Pawan and his family but only Sunita was found at Goregaon. She was hiding at one of her relatives’ house,” said Ramrao Pawar, additional commissioner of police, (north region). “Acting on a tip-off, the police rushed to the spot and arrested her,” added Pawar.
“Pawan and his family have switched off their cell phones due to which we are unable to trace them. We are trying our level best to catch them,” he said.
