Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan today appointed Dr Tukaram More and Dr V Pandharipande as the new vice-chancellors of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University respectively.
Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan today appointed Dr Tukaram More and Dr V Pandharipande as the new vice-chancellors of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University respectively.
Dr Pandharipande would succeed Prof Nagnath Kottapalle at the Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad whose term had expired on June 4, 2010, a press release issued in Mumbai by Raj Bhavan said.
Dr Pandharipande, who has a vast experience of university administration, research and teaching, is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Sir Visvesvaraya Award, the Anna University National Award and the Best Teacher Award of the Osmania University, the release added.
Dr More, who was today appointed as the new vice-chancellor of the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Ahmednagar, succeeds Dr R Deshmukh whose term had ended on February 9, 2010.
Dr More holds Ph D in Horticulture and has earned Post Doctrol Fellowship from the Cornell University. He has 34 years of experience in teaching, research and administration, the press release added.
Both the appointments are for a period of five years.
