Nationalist Congress Party postponed the series of meetings following the accidental death of Jitendra Pichad, youngest son of party state unit chief Madhukar Pichad on Monday. Party chief Sharad Pawar had convened the meetings of senior leaders and office bearers of the party on Tuesday and Wednesday.Jitendra died of electric shock at his residence in Ahmednagar on Monday. Soon after the sad demise, the party announced to put off the meetings.

The meetings, which are convened by party head to discuss the strategy for forthcoming municipal corporations and councils, are expected to be convened late this week. A leader from NCP said that the meetings cannot put postponed for long as the elections for the councils are expected to be announced soon.
