The sessions court on Monday accepted the application filed by Sachin Mali, who is accused of allegedly linked with the Naxal activities, pleading the court to allow him to pursue his PHD.

Sachin in his application had claimed that he is been in jail from April 2013 and that he is never influenced by the atmosphere of the jail nor is he involved in any criminal activities.

Mali further claimed that he has already completed his Master's in Art's in Marathi and that he wants to further pursue his further studies. Mali further claimed that his studies will help him pursue a job, one's he is released from the prison.

Sachin was represented by his advocate Vijay Hiremath. Mali and three members of the Kabir Kala Manch in 2013, did a Satyagraha by singing songs in the vicinity of the State Assembly before giving themselves up to the Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS).
