Navi Mumbai: Galaxia I-Fest sees a plethora of talent

Galaxia I-fest organized by Indira Institute of Business Management and Western College of Commerce and Business Management, Sanpada, from December 11 to 15  was indeed a unique and memorable event that will be etched in the memories of the crowd of over seven thousand people who attended the festival. The theme ‘Urban Graffiti – Live Life Freely’ echoed perfectly the sentiments of the youth of today.

While the first three days witnessed a plethora of talent from various fields, including sports, fine arts and performing arts, not to mention some outstanding orators; the last two days were a spectacular treat to the eyes. The stage dazzled with the energy and exuberance of participating students from forty four colleges who left the audience spellbound and awestruck. The fashion shows based on the theme of ‘Diversity’ beautifully depicted inclusion of marginalized groups like eunuchs, homosexuals and people with disabilities, stressing the themes of pluralism, acceptance, animal protection and women empowerment. 

Jayant Sutar,  Mayor – Navi Mumbai inaugurated the function on 11th December and graced the event with his presence, while Manda Mhatre, MLA Belapur Constituency, was the Chief Guest on 14th December. Celebrities like t Ranvijay Singh of MTV Roadies fame,  actress Rhea Chakraborty, and singer Vibha Saraf attended the festival.
