City students put up an impressive show in this year's ICSE Std 10th and Std 12th (ISC) exams, the results of which were announced on Monday. Swayam Das of St Mary's in Koparkhairne topped the Class 10 exam with 99.4 percent.

Abhijnan Chakraborty from Lilavatibai Podar School in Santacruz, and Tansa Shah from the Cathedral and John Connon School in Fort were two of the seven first rank holders at ISC with 99.5 per cent.

Seven of the 15 ICSE toppers and six of the 49 ISC toppers are from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

"In both the classes, girls performed better than boys," Gerry Arathoon, CEO of CISCE said. The pass percentage of girls is 97.63 and 98.15 in Class 12 and 10, respectively.

While the pass percentage of Std X remained almost the same as last year at 98.51, XIIth results dropped to 96.21 per cent from 96.4 per cent in 2017. Overall, 64 students scored more than 99 per cent.
