Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at a function organised to mark the centennial celebration of Poona Gujarati Bandhu Samaj at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on Sunday afternoon.

Modi will unveil the centenary year souvenir and receive the Gujarat Ratna award during the event.

Financial Technologies Group’s chairman and CEO, Jignesh Shah, will be the guest of honour at the function. A presentation on Swarnim Gujarat Mahotsav will also be given.

In the afternoon, Modi will visit the HV Desai Eye Hospital of Poona Blind Men’s Association (PBMA) in Mohammadwadi.

The visit has been organised on the eve of the diamond jubilee of the PBMA.

Niranjan Pandya, Kishorbhai Vora, Madan Deshpande and Parvez Bilimoria will attend the function.

Modi is also scheduled to pay a visit to the office of Vanrai near Mitramandal Chowk in the afternoon.

He will discuss certain issues with Vanrai founder Dr Mohan Dharia.
