MUMBAI: Nitesh, son of Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, who was booked for rash driving after his car hit a police constable at Carter Road, Khar, on Sunday night, was released on a bail of Rs 3000 on Monday morning.
 
The Khar police said the incident occurred at around 9.20 pm when havaldar Mahadeo Jadhav, on his way home, was hit by Nitesh's car. Jadhav suffered minor injuries.
 
Nitesh was booked under Section 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life), the police added.
 
Reacting to the incident, Narayan Rane said the car driver and not his son were responsible and the injury sustained by Jadhav was minor.
