Following the arrest of Mudabbir Sheikh from Mumbra (Thane district), as part of the countrywide crackdown against the Islamic State, ulemas from Mumbai are planning to issue a fatwa against the IS with an aim to warn Muslim youths before "things go out of hand".

"The fatwa will be issued in two-three weeks. We will declare that the IS has nothing to do with Islam. It is only a terrorist organisation," Hazrat Maulana Syed Moinuddin Ashraf (Moin Miyan) told dna.

The ulemas along with the Maharashtra Muslim Front will hold a massive rally in Mumbra on Friday. The rally will be called "March against ISIS terrorism" and aims to make the people of Mumbra and Kausa aware about the intentions and policies of the organisation.
